Cost: $20 per ticket (limited to 20 people)

The walking tour will visit two social housing sites in Adelaide followed by a major transit-oriented development project located in Bowden, just outside the CBD. Our destinations include the new Tika Tirka Aboriginal Student Accommodation project site (still under construction), and the heritage listed ‘Common Ground’ site in Light Square, which provides housing and communal spaces for tenants including an art studio, allied health services, social and vocational services. Please note that walking between sites in the CBD will take approximate 15-20 mins, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. We will catch a free public tram from North Terrace to Bowden just outside the CBD for a guided tour of the major TOD redevelopment project managed by Renewal SA. The walking tour will conclude with a glass of wine (included in the tour registration fee) at the Bowden ‘Plant 4’ wine bar in the redevelopment precinct, where you may also choose to remain after the tour and enjoy local Friday night markets. A guide will be on hand to escort, via public transport, any delegates who need to go directly back to the CBD after the tour.
